October is the Month of the Holy Rosary.  Try to say the Holy Rosary every day.   Don't know how?   Visit  How  to Pray the Rosary  (at the USCCB website).

During this very active hurricane season, please remember us and those in other locatons in your prayers. You are invited to join us in saying the Hurricane Season Prayer.

The Catholic Diocese of the U.S. Virgin Islands was hit by 2 catastrophic hurricanes during September.  All of the U.S. Virgin Islands felt the effects of both hurricanes but Hurricane Irma hit St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island first while St. Croix was preparing to help those islands to recover. Then Hurricane Maria came by and hit St. Croix which was devastated by Hurricane Hugo 28 years ago. All of the islands are now experiencing problems with electrical power, communications, transportation, housing, and many other necessities of life.

Dove Mural on the Outside Wall of the St. Joseph High School Chapel

Volunteers from Florida painted this dove mural, which is a symbol of the Holy Spirit, on the outside wall of the St. Joseph High School Chapel on St. Croix on February 23, 2017. The volunteer group consisted of Tim and Eileen Kozyra from the Catholic Heart Workcamp of Orlando, Florida with a group of students from Melbourne Central Catholic High School together with other chaperones. They spent the school day with some students from St. Joseph High School completing this inspirational mural.

Come, Holy Spirit

Come Holy Spirit! Fill the hearts of thy faithful!
And enkindle in them the fire of thy love.
Send forth Thy Spirit, and they shall be created,
And thou shall renew the face of the earth!
