Diocesan Mourning of Pope Francis

April 21, 2025 - May 4, 2025

We join the Catholic Community all over the world to pray for the repose of the soul of Pope Francis. We likewise pray for and accompany with spiritual support, all those charged with managing the affairs of the Church in the meantime.

On Tuesday, April 22, 2025, all Church bells ring at midday to commemorate the passing of the Holy Father.

All Churches, Chapels, and Oratories are to have an image of him displayed in a suitable place until the time of mourning is over. It is fitting to have flowers around the image.

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the day on which he is buried, all Pastors/Administrators ensure that a Requiem Mass is celebrated in each Parish with as many faithful as possible for the deceased Holy Father.
